Practice Areas

The attorneys of George & Cabrera have expertise with permanent and temporary employment visas, including H-1B and J-1 visas, labor certifications (PERM), national interest waivers, and aliens of extraordinary ability. We handle cases for all family based immigration matters, including visas for fiances, spouse, children, parents and siblings.

Citizenship & Naturalization

There are two basic ways by which an individual may obtain U.S. citizenship, either by birth or via the process of naturalization.

Temporary Visas

Temporary visas (also known as “non-immigrant visas) allow individuals to stay in the United States for limited period of time.

George & Cabrera also assists clients in deportation defense, including representing political asylum seekers from all over the world who fear persecution on account of their political opinion, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. We regularly handle immigration cases involving criminal convictions.

Deportation Defense

The U.S. Government may place an individual into removal proceedings (deportation) for a number of reasons.

Asylum provides permanent lawful status to individuals who establish that they have a well-founded fear of persecution on account of their race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership in a particular social group.
